Obituary for
Michael Anthony DiPrisco
Michael Anthony DiPrisco, born November 22,1960, in Brooklyn, NY, passed away Jan. 24, 2018 at Staten Island University Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Devoted son to his mother and stepfather. Mickey and Danny Iovine,and married to his high school sweetheart, Robin (nee Carney), for 32 years. He and Robin happily raised two wonderful children, Michael and Christina. They moved to Staten Island from Brooklyn in 1996, to a house where they still reside.
He was a Merchant Marine in 1980, where he learned his trade. Upon returning, he accepted a position at the NYC Housing Authority as a Stationary Fireman, eventually moving on to the title of Oiler for the Department of Sanitation. While stationed at the Staten Island Landfill, he played an active part in the September 11th recovery efforts. He concluded his career as an Oiler with the NYC Department of Corrections. He was greatly looking forward to retirement and his daughter's upcoming wedding.
He is survived by JoAnn & Michael Randazzo, Patricia Iovine, Meredith and Frank Walters, Robert DiPrisco, Dawn and Dan Puckett, Melody & Mike Vernola, future son-in-law Ray Villanova and many nieces and nephews.
Service will be held at Scarpaci Funeral Home, (6389 Amboy Road, Staten Island, N.Y. 10309) on Saturday, January 27th from 6-9 and Sunday, January 28th, from 2-5, with Memorial st St. Joseph-St. Thomas Church (6097 Amboy Road, Staten Island, N.Y. 10309 on Monday, January 29th at 10:30 am.
