Dorothy Joan Jones (Long)
Dorothy Jones born in Brooklyn NY on April 29, 1945 passed away after a long illness on April 26, 2021 (Staten Island, NY) at the age of 75.
Dorothy was a gifted poet who enjoyed drinking tea and reading crime novels. Dorothy dedicated her life to volunteer work servicing the community of Staten Island. Dorothy volunteered over 30 years of her life to causes she greatly believed in such as the Red Cross and the Alzheimers foundation of Staten Island.
Dorothy will be remembered by all of the lives she touched throughout her life.
She is predeceased by her Mother Clara Devine, Her Father Robert Long Sr., her Son Edward Jones III, her brother Robert Long and her Sister Marie Marinacci.
She is survived by her children Theresa Richards (Aurelia), Anthony Aurelia (Fran Aurelia), Christopher Aurelia, Nicholas Aurelia, Bridget Jones and Veronica Velez (Joseph Velez).
She was the proud grandmother of Christopher Aurelio, Faith Aurelia, Jessica Aurelia, Andrea Lamphere, Alex Aurelia, Alanna Velez (Courtney Velez), Mariah Velez, Seamus Weckerle, Liam Weckerle, Victoria Ennis, Sabria Velez and Jacob Jones Crosby as well as four great grandchildren.
The mass will be held on Friday May 14th at 10AM at Our Lady Help Of Christians Parish 7396 Amboy Rd SI, NY
