Wow, 35 years. Nicole was an infant when we met. We shared a last name through marriage. We became EMT’s together. I’m smiling about how people called us the Smyth sisters. Both of us, flashy, outspoken, and unapologetic, good looking broads, clicking, from the start. We helped each other through our divorces too. Although we became estranged these past years, I kept up with you through our kids. When I heard the news about your passing, I was shocked. I took it for granted, you’d be here forever. Out of sight, out of mind. I was quite mistaken. I’m feeling deep loss, similar to when I lost my sister Rita. I’m having a much harder time than I would have imagined. It’s almost as if we were talking yesterday. Any negativity dissolved, as unimportant. The bond never left. I was surprised myself. In conversation, you were always Aunt Maryann, and I will always feel I’m Aunt Faye. You’ve left quite the legacy through your girls and beautiful grandchildren. Frannie Linda, Nicole, Jackie, and Lexi. I am so sorry for the loss of this firecracker,that was Maryann Love always
