Obituary for John McManus

John McManus, 72 of Prince's Bay, passed away on July 19, 2023.

Born in Brooklyn, NY on December 26, 1950, John was the loving son of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McManus and the college sweetheart and
beloved husband of the late Nancy La Tona McManus for over 44 years.
He was the dedicated father to Molly Webster (John), Kathleen Nasiri
(Ali) and Kevin McManus, as well as granddaughters Caroline and Riley
Nasiri and Madeline Webster. He is also survived by his sister Mary
McCarthy and brother William McManus.

John was a 1972 graduate of Niagara University where he received a
Bachelor's of Arts Degree in History. He then went on to receive his
Juris Doctor degree from Creighton University in 1975.

Prior to his retirement, John defended high-profile cases involving
attorney, accountant, and real estate broker liability, employment
discrimination, medical malpractice, general liability, motor vehicle
and Labor Law actions. He tried well over one hundred cases.

Visitation will be at Scarpaci Funeral Home of Staten Island, 6389
Amboy Road, Staten Island on July 31st from 4-9pm. Mass will be held
at St. Thomas the Apostle Church on August 1st at 10:30 am.
