Obituary for Carmine Panico

It is with great sorrow to announce that Carmine Anthony Panico, affectionately known as Junior, has passed away on January 4th, 2023 at the age of 80.

Born January 2, 1943 in Brooklyn, Carmine moved to Staten Island in 1990. He worked as a school bus driver for over 30 years and weekend bartender in his father’s restaurants. Carmine loved photography, his garden, 50’s music and Chinese food. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. Carmine was known for his epic barbeques, sense of humor and ability to make everyone laugh and smile.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 43 years Donna, daughter Danielle, brother Joseph and his wife Deborah, sister in laws, brother in laws, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father Carmine, mother Florence and step-father Anthony LaGressa.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 10th from 4pm to 8pm at Scarpaci Funeral Home, 6389 Amboy Road. Mass Wednesday, January 11th at 10:30 am at St. Thomas Church, 6097 Amboy Road.

In lieu of sending flowers, please consider donating to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
