Dear Old Friend
I just learned of Mary's passing today and was deeply saddened. She was a warm, kind and engaging person with a great laugh that everyone loved ! We go back years and she was truly the best person one could ever hope to know in life ! While I had not see her in a long time,I remember her loving to play cards;a good card game with friends and her late sister Anne (Bubby) made her extremely happy. She also enjoyed going regularly to Atlantic City by bus and by car with her dear friend and neighbor,Roseanne, and her mother Lucy.Sadly, both are now also dearly departed. They had comp and would get a room in the Caesar's Hotel overnight from time to time to gamble in the casino and enjoy the endless buffet. I can also say from the mid 1980's through the 1990's she was a babysitter and every family she ever baby sat for praised her with accolades as a true blessing;highly responsible, warm, and caring. She loved babies and took such great pride and care of those she was responsible for.Her son, Gene also always kept a close eye over his mom and loved her...this everyone knew ! As time passes and those of her generation are fast fading away into a memory;let's cherish their younger and healthier days and all the wonderful things we remember about them in life.Rest in peace now,Mary...they simply don't make them like you anymore !
